Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Champion Window joined ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and a long list volunteers providing goods and services to make the dream of having a new home come true for the Akers family in West Chester, Ohio.

We provided and installed over 40 of their new ColorBond® Comfort 365® Glass windows in the house. Four crews of five Champion employees professionally installed the windows in just three hours on July 12. Other Champion employees have been involved in the project including factory associates who worked on a very tight schedule to produce the windows on time, and other employees who volunteered to assist in the construction and other parts of the project. Our interest in involvement with the Extreme Makeover home began as soon as they found out about the project and family in need. They contacted the builder, Dallis Designer Homes, and worked with the architect and designer to create the perfect windows for the new house.

Our involvement with Extreme Makeover went so well, they were approached to provide the windows for the makeover in St. Louis. This makeover included a home and an extra project of a coffeehouse that is run by and staffed by local disabled residents. Champion’s contributions to the house are just one example of many community efforts they support throughout the country. In Cincinnati, it has been involved with the Bengals/Hoxworth Community Blood Drive at Paul Brown Stadium for three years. In 2007, Champion set a record for the largest blood drive in Greater Cincinnati.
