Great Day Improvements - Purchasing Associate

Great Day Improvements is hiring a Purchasing Associate to join our team. As a Purchasing Associate, you will provide support to the Purchasing department with data entry of daily receiving, inventory transactions, in-house production and vendor quality adjustments. Review order acknowledgements for accuracy and review pricing. Maintain reports used to manage the material flow to the appropriate inventory levels. Assist in a variety of duties to support the purchasing and inventory management.

Potential comp: $40,000 - $50,000 / Year

1. Daily Receiving/Manual Inventory Transactions from Misc. Orders, Rejections, Scrap and Kit/GRP/Solarium/Sample production.

2. Place PO’s with Vendor, check acknowledgements for accuracy and pricing.

3. Invoices – Freight, Coding non-PO Mfg. Invoices, Update Navision to match.

4. Purchasing system updates related to re-order points, pricing, etc.

5. PO Expediter – Follow up with vendor on PO’s due that week and/or items that need to be expedited through vendor production for early receipt.

6. Assist with Cycle Counts and Physical Inventory

7. Maintain and or manage the following excel reports/logs

a) Weekly Scrap

b) Pricing logs

c) Weekly Marketing Inventory, Material Calculator, Solarium Calculator

d) Update MTD/YTD usage in Purchase & Inventory Review report for the following year

8. Vacation coverage for Purchasing Manager

9. Assist in a variety of duties to support the purchasing and inventory management.

10. Perform other duties as needed.

Candidate must have experience in heavy data entry, preferably in a purchasing environment. Demonstrated history as problem solver and team player. Accuracy in data entry and an intermediate level knowledge and experience in Excel required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
