Champion Window - Regional Operations Manager of Market Development

As a Regional Operations Manager of Market Development, you will be in a critical national role that demands a deep understanding of sales, central team support, and installations. This individual must be a strategic thinker, collaborator, recruiter, team builder, and trainer, with a strong ability to execute plans and deliver results. The focus is on driving profitable revenue growth and EBITDA.

Mission Statement: Drive operational excellence across assigned target locations by developing, standardizing, and implementing a scalable Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that aligns with Champion’s organizational values. The Market Development Team exists to equip each location for long-term success through strategic alignment, hands-on support, and performance coaching.

Responsibilities

• Operational Launch & Integration - Lead the operational setup for new locations, ensuring seamless alignment with company standards, systems, and culture.
• Performance Diagnosis & Recovery - Identify and address operational inefficiencies in underperforming branches through tailored action plans and direct support.
• Strategic Collaboration - Partner with Regional Leadership to align goals, share best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stabilization & Support - Provide ongoing coaching and oversight until branches meet defined performance benchmarks and demonstrate sustainable success.

Performance Metrics

• Revenue Growth - Increase total revenue across impacted branches through operational enhancements.
• EBITDA Margin Improvement - Drive profitability by optimizing cost structures and operational efficiency.
• Operational KPIs

Track and improve key indicators such as:
• Onboarding timeline
• Customer satisfaction
• Sales conversion rates
• Process compliance
• BLOG turns
• Warehouse 5S adherence
• Accounts Receivable recovery
• Branch Revitalization Success

High Level Responsibilities:
· Strategic Planning & Execution: Enhance sales growth, profitability, productivity, and efficiency across company operations.
· Champion Location Management: Lead and manage designated Champion locations to ensure sales growth, targeted profit margins, excellent customer service, quality installations, and a high-performance culture.
· Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team and departments to align company operations, talent, sales, and strategic priorities.
· Leadership & Coaching: Act as a role model, coach, and advocate for great customer and employee experiences, enabling and holding people accountable for results.
· Process Improvement: Introduce and align on best practices, process improvement measures, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations.
· Market Expansion: Focus on opening new markets and turning around underperforming markets, eventually handing over divisions to regional operators.
· Marketing & Sales Strategy: Execute forecasted marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve growth and EBITDA targets.
· Customer & Internal Communication: Communicate customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates with marketing and leadership to drive successful strategies

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; MBA preferred.
· Experience: 8-10 years of experience in business ownership or managing a business, preferably in the home improvement industry.
· Team Management: Proven experience in recruiting, developing, and managing high-performance teams, fostering a culture of growth, trust, collaboration, and accountability.
· Marketing & Fiscal Management: Ability to understand and execute marketing plans aligned with company practices and teach fiscal management and business/sales models.
· Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; skilled in conflict resolution and mediation.
· Business Acumen: Skilled in business management, including budget preparation and fiscal management, with the ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple objectives.
· Technological Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.
· Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Additional requirements:
• Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
• Hold quality virtual meetings as needed for proper communication and follow up.
