Energy Efficient Replacement Windows

Champion has been concerned about energy savings long before it went Hollywood. Each replacement window design update or update in the manufacturing process is designed to make replacement our windows more energy efficient and to save the homeowner more money.

We do not believe in a good/better/best window with varying enegy ratings, but instead manufacture one window- the best performing energy efficient replacement window you can have at factory direct savings. Champion stays on the cutting edge of technology and partners with the third party groups that help us continue to offer a window with maximum energy saving performance.

National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC)

NFRC products are tested and certified by an independent testing agency according to NFRC standards. The NFRC aims to provide information the consumer can easily compare the thermal energy efficiency of products. Like the window sticker on a new car that allows you to compare the car’s mpg performance in the city and on the highway, the NFRC window label allows the consumer to compare window performance in the summer and winter. Champion Window is a member of the NFRC. For more information, visit www.nfrc.org.

AAMA – American Architectural Manufacturer’s Association

AAMA offers air infiltration/water infiltration/structural testing. Champion Windows have been AAMA tested and all ratings exceed the minimum performance requirements established by AAMA. Because Champion Windows have been AAMA tested and have been NFRC certified (thermal rating), we are permitted to permanently affix an AAMA GOLD LABEL to our windows when they leave the factory. ENERGY STAR® is a voluntary partnership among the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, product manufacturers, local utilities, and retailers. Partners help promote efficient products by labeling with the ENERGY STAR® logo and educating consumers about the benefits of energy efficiency. By choosing ENERGY STAR-labeled products, you will keep your utility bills down and help the environment at the same time. For more information, visit www.energystar.gov.

Comfort 365

Champion’s exclusive Comfort 365® Glass is a high-performance, energy efficient window glass. It helps keep the heat in during the winter and the heat out during the summer, keeping your home more comfortable year round. Comfort 365® Glass is 35% more energy-efficient in winter and 41% more energy-efficient in summer than standard dual-pane glass. It also significantly reduces transmission of the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays, one of the leading causes of premature fading of carpet, furniture and drapes.
